- A Million Times Before by Segarra
Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today I'm featuring a new band... finally! Today we're talking about Segarra, a band based in the East Midlands, and we all know, Notts, Derby and Leicester bands have a very strong place in my heart. I adore them. I love them all, well the nice ones anyway. Pretty much, if you're a local band to me, and you're nice then I probably love you. Now, I've been aware of Segarra for a while now, I've seen them on lineups and things like that, but I'd never really paid that much attention to them. Until the other day when I got a lovely message off them asking if I'd be alright doing some press for them. I said yes, because well, I love supporting as many small bands as I can. So, today, Friday the 3rd of September 2021, Segarra released their 3rd single, A Million Times Before. That's the main point of this post, but, I'm just going to do a mini introduction to them beforehand. Segarra are a band based in the East Midlands, in Ilkeston. The quintet consists of;Oli Wade - Lead VocalsLike Hooton - Lead GuitarJosh Holloway - Rhythm Guitar and Backing VocalsLeon Cox - Bass GuitarCallum Friend - DrumsFor Fans Of; Oasis, The Beatles, Stone Roses, Strokes. The LibertinesThe band have 3 tracks out, their debut single, Sugarcane, the follow-up single, Shine A Light (On Me), and the new single, A Million Times Before. Straight off, you can hear the old school influences in the track, and I can tell you from the get-go, if you're a fan of the old school classics, then you'll probably love this track. I think this is a pretty solid track, and it's not got a long intro, it's not boring to listen to. It's a decent track, and it's got a nice beat to it, it's got a nice feel to it, and I really do rate this track. I think it's actually really nice to listen to. There aren't any major tempo changes like I tend to point out in a lot of tracks, but it's a good track nonetheless, and I really like this track. It's quite groovy. I'd definitely say that this is a track that you should check out, and the talent of Segarra is insane. I'm blown away by this track! Considering this is only the bands 3rd single, I'm super impressed with how talented Segarra are. They're a band with a lot of potentials, and one that I can strongly recommend checking out. This track is incredible, and it's definitely a track worth checking out. There's nothing I can fault about this track, the balance is there so that the instrumental aspects aren't drowning out the vocals. The vocals are audible, and the guitar and drums is where it's at for me. I absolutely adore the drums and guitar on this track! The bass is nice too. and I can't fault the structure or anything about this track. It's a solid track and one that I'd highly recommend giving a spin. It's just over 4 minutes, and if I'm not criticising a track that's over 4 minutes long then you know it's a decent track! I really like it. It's decent. Overall, I'm blown away by A Million Times Before. It's a belter of a track, and one that you need to hear to be able to appreciate. My words don't do this masterpiece justice. It's insane. If you like the classics then this is a track for you. The influences are audible, and it's just refreshing to hear something that I, personally, don't hear a lot. I write about a lot of songs that sound similar, and this is just something nice and refreshing in comparison. So, if you're on the look out for a new track, go check this one out! I'd be confident in rating it a 5 out of 5 lemons! I'm a big fan of this track! - Messed Up by Light Grey
Welcome/welcome back to the blog! I'm super pleased to say that we're back talking about Light Grey again! I love Light Grey! Messed Up is the follow-up single to Disassociation which we reviewed a couple of weeks back, but Light Grey are the gift that doesn't stop giving, as it has been revealed that they will be releasing their second EP next month! Super exciting times! Now, let's talk about Messed Up.Messed Up has that same electronic feel to it that Disassociation had, but I prefer this track. Messed Up seems to pack more of a punch, and has a cool vibe to it. I actually really love everything about this track, and I much prefer it to Disassociate. Disassociate was great but Messed Up just has that little edge to it. This is a decent track, it's got some really engaging elements of the track, and I just generally love this track. I think this track really packs a punch, and it's engaging to listen to. I don't find myself getting bored of it, and I could easily listen to this track for an hour or so without getting bored of it. I love this track, and there are no elements of this track to criticise because they're all incredible. I love everything about this track, and I think it's incredible! I'm obsessed with this track, I think this is an incredible track and one that although it's similar to the previous single, it's very much its own song. Whilst sounding different to the previous singles from Light Grey, it still has that classic Light Grey vibe to it. I just love it. I can't fault this track! This track is phenomenal. I'm obsessed with it, and I'm so blown away by it. There's nothing I dislike about this track and Messed Up has me hyped for the new EP. I love everything about this track, and it's just insane. I cannot recommend this track enough! Overall, I'm really impressed with Messed Up, if you couldn't already tell. I'm obsessed with this track. I think Light Grey are back with a bang with this track. I'm obsessed! Light Grey are such an incredible band and this track is proof of this. Please, if you haven't heard it already, then go check out Messed Up by Light Grey, because it's phenomenal and they're a band that is so slept on but deserve so much move love and support! - Not Sorry by Dead Bundy
Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we’re talking about Dead Bundy again! However, this time we’re talking about Dead Bundy’s debut album, Not Sorry. This album features the singles we’ve come to love including, When I’m High, Wannabe and Duct Taped To A 40. I love all the singles from this album, and for a 14 track album, Not Sorry only has a listening time of a little over half an hour. It reminds me a lot of blink-182. The album features little skit tracks like there was on The Tom, Mark and Travis Show. It features tracks such a Hard Job and there’s not one dull moment when you listen to this track. From start to finish, every track is incredible, and packs the punch you expect from Dead Bundy. 8 of the tracks featuring on the album were previously released as singles, and although normally I would say that doesn’t leave a lot of exclusive to the album content, it’s a 14 track album so it’s a lot but there’s 6 different tracks as well. Some of them are skits but it’s great. It’s a Dead Bundy album at the end of the day, and I think if it was any other way then it wouldn’t really be a Dead Bundy album. Not Sorry, is everything I could have hoped it would be and more. I love it! There’s nothing I can point fault at. Every element of this album is phenomenal. This is a solid album, an album full of no skips, and an album that offers an engaging and enjoyable listening experience. It’s an impeccable album, and one that truly is wonderful! Every second of this album impressed me, and I cannot recommend checking this album out enough. Not Sorry is an album that will help prove that Dead Bundy have the ability to be one of the biggest and best pop-punk bands of this era. They know what they’re doing, and they’re so incredibly talented! I have to say that Not Sorry could be in the running for Album Of The Year. It’s a flawless piece and it’s just insane. I cannot recommend this album to you enough. Every song packs the punch, and it’s just such a surreal album! I absolutely love this album, and that’s why I’m giving it a 5 out of 5 lemons! Please, go spend a little over half an hour listening to this album! It’s insane! - Proper Gentleman by OnlyChrisAng
Welcome/welcome back to the blog! After what feels like forever, I’m finally back with another blog post! Today we’re talking about Chris Ang again! I think Chris is a wonderful human, with some extremely emotional and heartfelt tracks. I’ve spoken about his music previously, and for as long as he wants me to keep producing content I will. This track is very similar to the previous tracks we've heard from Chris, and it's a decent enough track. It's got a nice feel to it, and it's engaging enough to listen to. It's got a nice feel and vibe to it, and it doesn't have the same intense emotional connotations that some of his previous releases have. I do actually really like this track though, I think it's decent. I'd listen to it enough to put it in rotation, but I don't know if it would be a track on regular rotation though. If I was in the mood for a track of this style, I'd probably reach for it a bit. It's alright, it's not a bad track, I would prefer if it was a little more engaging to listen to. It's a bit too samey throughout the entirety of the track. I know that's the genre of the track, and that typically it's a style of track that would be samey throughout the entire track. I could listen to the track for like half an hour and not get bored, but I probably couldn't blast the track on repeat for a prolonged period of time as I'd become bored, and disinterested. However, it's an alright track. Overall, I'd give it probably like a 4 out of 5 lemons! It's decent! It's alright, I just wouldn't put it into daily rotation because it's not my favourite track ever, but it's alright. If you like Chris's style of music then I'd recommend checking it out. - Introducing: Feel Something
Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today I'm back doing an introducing post! It feels like it's been a long time since I last did one of these! Fun fact, about a month ago Jamie messaged me but it went into my spam folder on Messenger so I didn't get the message until a couple of days ago, however, a week or so ago Aaron messaged me on Messenger, and it went into my main inbox. I booked Aaron in back when he messaged me, and when I found Jamie's message I booked him in too, however, yesterday when I was coming to do the prep work for this post, I realised, both Aaron and Jamie are in the same band... this seems like the sort of thing I should have noticed at the time, but either way, thanks to Jamie and Aaron for reaching out! Thank you to you both for trusting me enough to talk about your band! So, let's not ramble anymore and let's talk about Feel Something! Feel Something are a pop-punk/emo band from Chesire, UK. The band consists of: Aaron Ross - Vocals Jamie Smith - Lead Guitar Frankie Whittle - Rhythm Guitar Russell Heaton - Drums Whilst Feel Something only have one song out currently (Seasons), an EP is on the way and I've also been informed that the band are hoping to do an EP tour as well! So, some pretty exciting things coming for Feel Something. Let's talk about Seasons now. I really like the feel of this track, it's got a classic pop-punk feel and vibe to it. It's not overly refined, but it's still decent. The intro for me was mediocre, but the vocals! When the track actually kicked in and it's more than just sound, it's great! I love Aaron's vocals, and I think the sound is actually extremely complementary to the vocals. I love all elements of this track. I can't really fault the track. Yeah, I did maybe expect a bit more from the intro but we all know I criticise 90% of intros because intros bore me. When the vocals have actually kicked in though, it's decent. I didn't know what to expect going into this track but listening to it, I'm pretty impressed. I'd be confident enough to say that I'd work this into my weekly rotation, and play it fairly regularly. There are some really nice elements of this track, like the little tempo build-ups, I love that! I'm just a sucker for a tempo change, and I love when you're listening to a track and a repetitive element no matter what element it is, get's more and more intense the further the track progresses. So, I've got to admit that I'm pleasantly surprised with this track. I think it's insane. It's an incredible track, and I'd be more than happy to listen to this song regularly and not complain. Considering this is a debut single, I'm beyond impressed, and the more I've listened to the track, the more I grow to love the track. I think this is a solid track, and it's a damn good, debut pop-punk single. I'm a big fan of this track, and I'd highly recommend going and checking it out! I'm confident in giving Seasons a 5 out of 5 lemons! Would highly recommend checking it out! Where To Find Feel Something: Spotify Instagram Facebook Apple Music
- Live Review: Good Hustles at The Bodega
Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we’re finally doing a post we haven’t done in a long time again! Today I’m doing my first live review in like 18 months! On Friday 20th of August, Good Hustles headlined The Bodega in Nottingham, with support from Adam Zareba, Clonk and Distant Blue. It’s common knowledge that I have W lot to do with Good Hustles as the drummer is Harvey who is one of my favourite people in the entire world! I have a Good Hustles tattoo and everything now. This wasn't my first gig back, as I saw Downcast and Royals a few weeks ago, but this is the first gig back that I'm reviewing! Now, while I am mainly here to talk about Good Hustles I want to just mention the support acts! Adam was the opener, and I've got to admit, I was really impressed by his set. He was quite entertaining and made the crowd laugh, which I thought was great, and I really liked his music as well! He was great! Such a great first impression and a great opener! The second act was Clonk, and they were probably the heaviest band on the lineup. I wasn't too much of a fan of them, if they were supporting at another gig I was going to, I wouldn't complain, but I wouldn't really opt to see them again, just because they weren't my sort of music. They weren't bad, but they just weren't for me. Then came Distant Blue, and I've seen Distant Blue before, I love Distant Blue, I think they're an incredible band! They didn't disappoint, their energy was incredible as always, and they really packed a punch with their set! They were top-notch like always, they had a good mix of new and old tracks, and they just put on an energetic performance as always! Now, let's talk about Good Hustles! The main act. I loved their entire set, from start to finish I was impressed. I thought they were incredible. I expected them to be good, but I didn't expect them to be as good as they were. I'd put Good Hustles up there with some of the best bands I've seen live, and I'd rank them above some of the previous bands I've said were at the top. Their set consisted of some incredible tracks, and I just absolutely loved every second of their set. I can't fault one moment of their performance. It was just insane. I thought their actual setlist was great, and just I was generally really impressed with their set. They were incredible. Such an incredible performance and I'm eager to see Good Hustles again. I think they're an incredible live act, and one that I would highly recommend going and seeing them live if you have the chance to, and if you aren't already listening to them then you need to. Their live performance was incredible, they were probably in my top 3 live acts I've ever seen! I loved their set, and I thought they did an incredible job with their set. Their performance was a solid 5 out of 5 lemons. Was obsessed with their performance and I cannot wait for the next time I get to see them perform live! - Recent Releases: Those Without, Half Dizzy and Hightail
Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we're doing another recent releases post! I know we did one a couple of posts back, but I thought this would be a pretty good way of just getting ahead with reviews. Today we're going to talk about Those Without, Hightail and Half Dizzy. First up, I want to talk about a new band to the blog, that being Half Dizzy. A week or so ago Daniel reached out to me and asked me if I'd be game for doing a post, and I said yes. Half Dizzy are a punk band from Long Island, they have one track out titled Surrogate. This is definitely more punk than a lot of the other acts we've spoken about recently. It gives me early blink vibes, and I'm not too sure why, but it's just that sort of pop-punk and all that. It's decent. I actually really like this track. It's not my favourite track I've ever heard, but I do really like it, and I think it's an incredible track. It definitely packs a punch and I can see it appealing to many people. I think it's a solid track! It's honestly decent, I really like the whole vibe and sound of it. It's not super heavy, and by that, I mean featuring rough vocals or anything, but it's solid. i can see this being a song adored by many, and especially for a debut single, this is a phenomenal track! I really would recommend checking this track out, it's incredible, and if you like your early 2000's, late 90's sort of pop-punk then you'd probably find great joy in listening to this track. There's nothing I can actually pick fault at with this track like there's nothing bad about this track in any way. It's insane, from the vocals to the drums, to the bass, and everything in between, I love this track, and it's insane. I cannot recommend it enough! This is 100% a song I would highly recommend going and checking out. I rate this track pretty highly, like, I'd be confident enough to give this track a 5 out of 5 lemons. It's just insane. I love everything about this track! It's honestly, a belter! Go check it out, because it's just insane! I'm super hyped to see what Half Dizzy come out with now. Where To Find Half Dizzy: Spotify Instagram FacebookYouTube Apple Music Next up, I want to talk about Those Without again. I think everyone knows I love Those Without. I think they're a phenomenal band that are incapable of producing a bad song. Well, a couple of days ago, they dropped a new track from their upcoming album. This track is Webspinner. This is the 4th single from the album, but I'm here for it! I loved the previous singles and this one is just as incredible. I love the vibe of this track, the vocals as well! Perfection! It's quite fast-paced and it definitely packs a punch like the previous singles. I love everything about this track, but that's what I've come to expect from Those Without. The lyrics to this track are hitting the spot for me currently, and some of the lines are just far too relatable currently. For example, the line "You think I'm pathetic, isn't this the way it's always been?" and "I'd say I'm broken, but I won't let you take the credit for it". They are far too relatable, and I've said this many times, but if I can relate to a track, and find comfort in lyrics then I will instantly fall in love with it. This track hits the spot for me, and like the previous singles, I'm in love with it. I said this about Weightless, and before that about Pink Alligator, but I think I prefer this single to the previous (Weightless). Those Without just keep outdoing themselves, and that little build-up and subtle little tempo changes, yes! I cannot even explain how euphoric this track makes me feel. I'm well and truly in love with it. I can't recommend this song enough. If you love your catchy pop-punk, if you love Those Without, and you just generally love pop-punk then please, please, please go check out Those Without! I can't even process just how insane this track is! This is a solid 5 out of 5 lemons track! I know we've just done the lemon awards, but the end of year ones are coming up in a few months, and this track might just make it to those. I'm in love with this track. Where To Find Those Without; Spotify Instagram Twitter Facebook YouTube Apple Music Now, let's talk about the new EP from Hightail! Last week we spoke about Cut The Cord, and when Grey Skies (the track) dropped, we spoke about that, but the EP is now out. It's time to talk about Grey Skies (the EP). Three of the tracks on the EP have previously been released so I won't say as much on them, as I will the previously unreleased tracks. Sweet Tooth is the first track on the EP, and it's the first single from the EP. It's an incredible track, that packs that punch we all know and expect from Hightail. I love this track, and it's incredible! It's just as incredible as it was when it first dropped. I love everything about this track, and it's a solid opening track. I fucking love everything about this track, and it's just insane! The second track is the title track, Grey Skies. I did a full review of this track! I loved it then and I love it now. I love how intense it sounds, and it's just such a belter. It's fast-paced and it's just so catchy. I fucking love this track! It's insane. I don't think I'll ever stop loving this track. It's just such an insane track! Next up is Friend or Foe, and I've seen a lot of hype about this track, and upon listening to it, it's clear to see why. This is a stand out track. It's got such incredible elements to the track, and I'm obsessed with it! I fucking love everything about it! I love everything about this track, and it's a very impressive track. I get why everyone is hyping up this track, because fuck, it's great! I love that this is a catchy track, whilst also featuring a nice hint of those rough vocals, some nice little tempo changes, and it's just insane! This is a belter of a track, and I'm really impressed with it! Next up comes One Last Time, which is a track I didn't expect to like from the intro, but it was actually a really enjoyable track. It's decent. It's got a nice feel to it, and I really love this track, and I can see myself listening to this track a hell of a lot. I'm well and truly in love with it. It's just insane. It's a beautiful track, but it still packs a punch. I love everything about this track, and it's just wonderful. It's that great of a track that after one listen I had to add it to my car playlist, it's just that good! This is a track that has emotion in it but still packs that punch, and still have some incredible elements that offer a nice contrast to a lot of the other emotional songs that pop-punk bands have to offer. The penultimate track is the most recent single, Cut The Cord. I think we've all heard this track now, and if you haven't then what are you even doing? It's a belter of a track, it packs a punch, and it's just insane. I fucking love everything about this track, and it's one to play on full blast! I love it! It's such an incredible track! The last track on the EP is Nostalgia, which has just as nice of a feel to it as the previous tracks on the EP, but gives vibes of a mix of Cut The Cord and One Last Time. I love everything about this track again, it's a solid closing track, and it's one that I will definitely be listening to a lot. It's got that tempo change for me, and the lyrics! I swear, music is just talking to me today and I'm here for it! I love this track, it's insane. It's a wonderful track, and one I cannot recommend enough! Overall, I'm really impressed with Grey Skies! I love this EP, it's insane. It starts and ends with a bang, and it has an incredible feel to it. I love everything about this EP. I think it's insane. I cannot recommend it enough, and it's definitely in the running for EP of the year 2.0. Honestly, I love this EP, and I have to give it a 5 out of 5 lemons! I'm obsessed! - Let Go by Until You Disappear
Welcome/welcome back to the blog! After what feels like forever we’re back talking about Until You Disappear again. Now, you may remember Until You Disappear from last year. I thought very highly of their previous 2 singles and even went as far as to say they were a band of the year. But they’re back again, with a brand new single titled Let Go. The track features those nice grungy sounding riffs we’ve come to know and love. I love the whole feel and vibe of this track. It’s got such a nice feel to it and it’s pretty catchy. It’s got good vibes to it, and I love the sound of this track! It’s an incredible track and it really packs a punch, no it doesn’t have those dramatic tempo changes but it’s still got such a cool feel to it. It's still a groovy track that will impress the masses. When I first got sent this track a few weeks back I fell in love with it. I thought it was an incredible track, and I loved the whole sound and vibe of the track, and the vocals are incredible as always. Saying that though, there's not one bad element of this track. I enjoy everything about this track the vocals, the drums, the bass, the guitar, the lyrics, everything about this track is incredible. I really think this is a solid track and one that will impress many people. I think Until You Disappear are really proving to be one of those bands that deserve a spot in the scene and deserve to be heard by so many more people. I'd probably put Let Go on par with Distance. I think I still prefer Drunk Me to this track, but saying that, I've heard Drunk Me a lot more than Let Go. It's definitely an incredible track though, and one which I already love and I know that the more I listen to it, the more I'm going to fall in love with it. I just think it's incredible, and Until You Disappear are one of the best bands this scene has to offer. I love Let Go, and I cannot recommend you going and checking it out enough. I think this track is definitely a 5 out of 5 lemons track. It's incredible, and I know it'll be working its way into regular rotation. Honestly such a belter of a track, and one you 100% need to check out! - Mid Year Lemon Awards: 2021
Welcome/welcome back to the blog, and to the lemon awards! Now, I know every year we do this once a year at the end of the year. It's always the last post of the year, but my mum suggested that we do 2 lemon award posts a year, we did 2 last year. Last year we had the big lemon awards and the Quarantine Lemon Awards. I realised that now we work with like 100 artists and we churn out so much content, that it made sense for us to do 2 lemon awards a year. We will be keeping a lot of the same categories as we do in the main Lemon Awards, but it's just a way of giving more bands the chance to have a lemon award. As expected, we will only be talking about releases from 2021 up until now. I'm super excited about this, so without further ado let's get into this! Also please remember, this years awards only include artists who have released music this year. If they haven't released music this year, they won't be featured. Also, we do 5 awards for releases as there's 20 nominations, so it's always 5 certificates for releases. For all other categories it's 1-3 that get a certificate. As always, there will be physical copies of the certificates, and as I see bands and everything they will be handed out. Mid Year Lemon Awards: 2021 Best Release; 20. Resurrection by Embxrs 19. - Recent Releases: Don't Forget Rupert, Protect Your Heart, Beneath Flowers and Ryan Soanes
Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we’re doing another long combination post! Today we’re talking about new music from Don’t Forget Rupert, Ryan Soanes, Beneath Flowers and Protect Your Heart. Let’s talk about Protect Your Heart’s second single first! This track dropped a few weeks back, and I did review their debut single. Closer To The Grave has an incredible, heavy feel to it. It’s an intense track that packs such a punch. It’s reminiscent of the likes of Every Avenues and bands like that. It’s got that straight to the chorus vibe to it, and it’s incredible. I love everything about this track. I love the change between the chorus and verse with the sound. It’s incredible. I love how this track feels and sounds. It’s just got such an angsty feel to it, and it truly does pack a punch. It’s a surreal track that 100% deserves some more love and support, there’s a breakdown sort of feel to parts of the track, and I just think it’s an incredible track. This is a track that I think deserves 1000000x more love and support. I think this is quite a catchy track, and it’s got such a great beat to it. The beat is quite heavy, but it’s not a heavy song in other respects; it’s honestly just the perfect sort of track. There’s nothing to criticise, and this is one of those tracks you just have to love because it does everything you could want and more. It’s perfection. Closer To The Grave is the perfect track for a lot of pop-punk and alt-rock lovers. It’s insane! I cannot recommend this track enough; it’s just phenomenal. If you’re willing to give this track a listen, then please go and do so! I’m obsessed with this track! It’s next level insane! Closer To The Grave is a solid 5 out of 5 lemons track, without a doubt! Where To Find Protect Your Heart: Spotify Instagram Twitter Facebook YouTube Apple Music Next up, let’s talk about Ryan Soanes’ latest track. I’ve spoken about Ryan quite a few times, and I have a lot of love and appreciation for him and the music he makes! He’s an incredible musician, and he dropped a new track earlier this month. Save Me is very much a calming, soft and gentle track. It's incredible, but it's very slow and soft. It's still classic Ryan, though, as he has a variety of different sounding tracks. I like this track, and it's incredible. I wouldn't say it's my favourite track from him, though, and I would prefer a little something more to the track, but that's my personal opinion. It's a nice enough sounding track, it's got a lovely feel, and it's a very calming track. It has that sort of warm, like beach scene in a movie sort of calming feel to it. It's lovely, but I find that because there's no major change in tempo, and there's nothing there to really make this track stand out, it means I'm not in love with the track. I think it's an incredible track, don't get me wrong, but I want a bit more from it. But, I mean, I'm not going to like every track an artist comes out with. I still think this is a decent track, but it's mood-dependent for me to put this in rotation. Due to that, I'm going to give this track a 4 out of 5 lemons. Where To Find Ryan Soanes; Spotify Instagram Twitter Facebook YouTube Apple Music Now, let's talk about Beneath Flowers. Again, I've spoken about this lot before, but they released a new track the other day. Roach is a 4 and a half minute long track, so initially, I thought this track seemed pretty intimidating, but the intro is decent. It's got a decent beat to it, and it's not too long. It doesn't go on for like a minute or anything. By the 30 second marker, the vocals have already kicked in, and that's what I like. I quite like the vibe of this track, and I think this is actually a really interested and engaging track to listen to. It's decent, it packs a punch, and it does what you'd want it to do, and a bit more. It's decent and reminds me of another band, but my mind has gone blank on who it is. It's got a similar feel to The Dangerous Summer and maybe a bit of Hot Mulligan. I quite like this track though, it's got a decent feel and beat; it's got a nice tempo change in it with a nice added touch of some rough vocals. I love that. I think we all know that I'm a fan when a track has a nice tempo change and some rough vocals. I'm a big fan of this track. I didn't think it would hold my attention for 4 and a half minutes, but it did. It does. It's insane. I love it. It's a phenomenal track, and it's exceeded all expectations I had. I really dig this track. I really like it. I'd have to go with a 5 out of 5 lemons for Roach! I'm impressed. Where To Find Beneath Flowers; Spotify Instagram Facebook Bandcamp YouTube Apple Music The last artist we're going to talk about is Don't Forget Rupert. Now, I love Don't Forget Rupert. I've been talking about Don't Forget Rupert for about 3 years now. I was barely a music blogger when I first started talking about them. They're a blog favourite and a favourite for most of the people I've introduced to them. Since we last spoke about them, they've had a lineup change with the only original member being Ben (the frontman). Curtain Call is the first track for the band to release with the new lineup. Now, I really like the whole vibe and feel of this track. It's got some blink and Simple Plan vibes to it, but the intro sounds so different to the verses. But the chorus goes hard! I love the tempo and the feel of this track. Everything about this track is impressive, and I love that there are some pretty big tempo changes in the track. I just love everything about this track, and Ben's vocals are as incredible as always. I just love everything about this track, and I think it's an incredible track. I know some people may worry that with a new lineup Don't Forget Rupert doesn't sound like Don't Forget Rupert, but they still do. This is an incredible track. I love this track and everything about it. It's got a great feel and vibe to it, and it's just a phenomenal track. I'd highly recommend checking this track out! I'm going to give Curtain Call a 5 out of 5 lemons. I didn't really know what I thought of it when it dropped last week, but the more I've listened to it, the more I've grown to love it, and I really do like this track. - I Think I’m Having A Heart Attack by Good Hustles
Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we’re talking about Good Hustles again! It feels like forever since we spoke about the lovely lot that is Good Hustles. I think we all know I love Good Hustles and they never seem to disappoint. All their songs are belters, and they’re a band that really do deserve some more love and support! They’re one of the best bands that Notts has to offer. A little over a week ago Good Hustles dropped their new track I Think I’m Having A Heart Attack. So, let’s stop the rambling and get into talking about this incredible track! I Think I’m Having A Heart Attack features that classic Good Hustles sound we’ve come to know and love. I love the sound and feel of this track. It starts off as it means to go on, and the whole feel of this track. It doesn’t have the angst that some of the previous singles we’ve heard from Good Hustles have like Coffee, but the vocals on this track are next level! I always tend to point out Morton’s vocals but honestly, them vocals are extraordinary! It’s a track where the drums are still a very noticeable feature which I love, because I think Harvey is one of the best drummers, but honestly I just love this track. Although the vocals and drums are the stand out elements for me, I’ve got to admit that the bass and guitar is still decent. I absolutely love everything about this track, and I think it truly is a magnificent track. This is one of those tracks that gives me that euphoric feeling. I just love it. I can’t criticise anything about this track, it’s just extraordinary! I love it! This is one of those tracks that I just instantly fell in love with from the first listen. It’s got that sound that I adore, it’s got so many incredible elements and it manages to hold my attention for the pretty much 3 minutes that the song lasts for. I just love it. It’s catchy, but I’ve come to expect that from Good Hustles but it’s got that little extra something in it, and I can’t get enough of this sound! I love this track so much. I think this is definitely in the running for song of the year, or at least decent enough to be nominated. I just love this track, I can’t fault anything with it. It has everything I’d want from a Good Hustles track and more! I’m going to put it on par with Too Far and Smile. I love this track. I truly think it’s wonderful. I cannot recommend checking this track out enough. I Think I’m Having A Heart Attack is a track that 100% deserves your love and support, because it’s truly magnificent! You need to check this track out. It’s incredible. In conclusion, I’m obsessed with this track! I’ve had it on repeat since it was released, and I just love everything about it. It’s incredible. It’s just as good as previous singles from Good Hustles and if you haven’t heard it already, then you should change that because you’re really missing out on a belter here! I love everything about this track, so I’m going to have to follow the usual Good Hustles rating of 5 out of 5 lemons! I adore this track! It’s a masterpiece and I’m well and truly obsessed with it! - Cut The Cord by Hightail
Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we're going to be talking about the brand new single from Hightail. We've spoken about Hightail before, and we'll talk about them again. Especially considering they're dropping an EP soon. Anyway, let's get straight into this. I was obsessed with this track from the get-go. This is an absolute belter. Cut The Cord packs a punch, and it's the perfect tempo. It's just such an insane track, and it's very much a traditional heavier pop-punk track. This is like sort of early The Story So Far sounding sort of pop-punk. I love this track though, I think it's insane. I love the whole feel and vibe of this track, and it truly does pack a punch. I think this is an incredible track, and it really is phenomenal. There's nothing I can really criticise about it. The vocals are insane, the guitar, the drums, the bass, the lyrics, everything about this track gets a massive yes from me. I love it. I think this track is just insane. It's incredible. I think it's got quite a fuck you sort of feel to it, and honestly, this is the sort of track I want to blast on full currently. I just love the angst in this song. It truly is a magnificent pop-punk track that will impress the masses. This is honestly such a surreal track. I'm honestly blown away by how insane this track is. I love it. I think loads of people will love this track. I think I do slightly prefer Grey Skies but I still love Cut The Cord. I think this is a phenomenal track, and it truly is a masterpiece. I love everything about this track, and it's just insane. This is definitely a song for any pop-punk fans out there. It's just insane. I would recommend this track to anybody who's willing to listen to it, especially all you pop-punk fans out there. Hightail never seem to disappoint and Cut The Cord is just another example of that. I love this track. I cannot even put it into words just how incredible this track is. Due to how hyped this song makes me I'd have to go with a solid 5 out of 5 lemons for the rating of this song. I just love it! It's insane!
