Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we're going to be talking about a new band to the blog, Lovewell. Mark reached out to me a week or two ago and asked me if I'd be up for doing some content. I, of course, said yes! They dropped this EP today! Literally today the 30th of July. Which I mean, shocking that I'm doing content on release day, but anyway, I'm super hyped to be talking about this EP!So, Some Songs is a 3 track EP. I love that the listening time is under 10 minutes, so if you're doing a short car journey or just doing a quick task, you can play this EP whilst you do that. I like the convenience factor of this EP. The first track is Sightseeing. This is a track they've released previously, but it's just such a nice feeling track. I don't exactly know why but it gives me Have Mercy sort of vibes. I think it's got a nice feel and vibe to it, it's got some beautiful vocals on the track, and I just think it's a nice, sort of warm feeling track. It's not really got any elements that I can point fault at, and it just gives me that euphoric feeling. I love this track. It truly is a magnificent track. I really love this track and the whole feel and vibe of it. It's a solid track. It never lost my attention once either, so that's great. The second track is Keep In Mind. This has a similar vibe to the previous track, and I think the transition from Sightseeing and Keep In Mind is lovely. I really like that Keep In Mind seems to pick up where Sightseeing left off. I also love that this track has a few heavier elements in it, I love that. Again, I can't really fault anything about this track, and as much as I loved Sightseeing I do prefer Keep In Mind, I love the tempo change between verse and chorus, I love the way this track feels and just presents itself. I really dig this track. This again is a magnificent song. I'm really impressed with it! The last track on the EP is Bother. This is a slower track in comparison to the previous two, and after listening to the other two, is kind of what I expected. I think after the first two tracks, you just know the direction of this EP, and you really gain an understanding of it. I like this track, although it is a slower track, and we all know slower tracks often make me want to press pause, this track doesn't. This track still has enough going on to keep me engaged whilst the vocals and the whole vibe of the track is a lot slower in comparison. I do still rate this track, and I do think this is a phenomenal track. I do prefer the other tracks, but this track serves a purpose, and it has its place on the EP, and it is the perfect concluding track for this EP. Overall, I am really impressed with this EP. I think it's incredible. It's an EP that flows perfectly together. One track starts where the last one left one. I just really like this EP. Keep In Mind is definitely my favourite track, but I like all 3 tracks on the EP, and I just really rate this EP. I think this is a solid EP, and one I would highly recommend checking out. If you're unfamiliar with Lovewell, then go check them out. They're really talented. This is a great EP, that I really cannot point fault with. Everything works and flows how you'd expect it to. It's just great. It really is a magnificent EP. Due to all of these positive feelings I have for Some Songs, I have to give it a 5 out of 5 lemons! This is a great EP, and I cannot recommend it enough to you!
