Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we’re doing another combination post just because I had to have a couple of days off to have a little break. However, I’m back! Today we’re going to be talking about 3 different tracks. I was sent some of these tracks from PR companies in the past couple of weeks, I’ve worked with some of these companies before so I’m always happy to take their new submissions.

So let’s talk about MeeN first. MeeN is a stoner rock band from Atlanta. MeeN released their debut single last month, Wizards Feast. Wizards Feast isn't a track I really expected to enjoy. I didn't really know what to expect going into this track. I can't actually say this track wins me over. It's got some cool elements within it, but it just lacks something that really certifies it as a banger. It's alright. It's not extraordinary, but it's alright. The vocals are really nice on this track, but it's very samey throughout the entire track, and that lets it down for me. There are no major tempo changes that come out of nowhere, however, the guitar riffs in the track are incredible. The vocals and guitar are the 2 stand out elements of this track for me. I like this track enough, but it's not revolutionary. It's something we've most definitely heard before, there's nothing new and refreshing, and it gives me Red Hot Chilli Pepper vibes at points, and it's just an alright track. It's decent, but me being me, I want more pizzazz as I've heard a lot of songs, and for me to give a track a 5 out of 5, it needs something substantial to make it stand out from any other track of the same sound. This track for me lacks that last bit of pizzazz. Therefore, I'm giving this track a 4 out of 5 lemons. It's not bad, but it's a very mood dependant song for myself, and it just doesn't pack as much of a punch as I maybe expected it to. Where To Find MeeN: SpotifyInstagramFacebook

Now, let's talk about Voelas by Taxi With Strangers. Now, I have done a post on Taxi With Strangers before, and I did quite like the track I reviewed, so I've got pretty decent expectations for this track as well. The feel of this track doesn't hit the spot for me like the previous track I reviewed did, as this has a lot more of an indie feel to it, but I'm not opposed to it. There are some incredible elements on this track, and I think the vocals are lovely. I do actually quite like this track, I'm not obsessed with it like I was with Let Loose, but I do quite like it. It's got a pretty cool feel to it, with some nice little tempo changes. I do think this is a decent track, and there's not really much to criticise, my main fault with the track is that there are other tracks I much prefer. Besides the fact that the track's sound isn't something extraordinary for me, then I do like this track. I think it's decent enough. it's alright. I'm not blown away by it, but I like it. It's another mood dependant track for myself, but I do rate it enough, and I would recommend checking it out! Overall, I'd give it a 4 out of 5 lemons.

Now we move onto the second to last track we're going to talk about, and this is Throwing Rocks by The Blams. Now, I was approached on both Insta and emails for this track, and I liked the first single The Blams put out so I thought why not feature this track. Now, I really like this track. It's got a nice feel and vibe to it. I like the vocals, I love the whole sound of this track. It just does something for me. This has an edge to it, this track is extraordinary. I love the feel of this track, and I just think it's a great track. No major tempo changes or anything, but the whole style of the track is just engaging to listen to, so it manages to hold my attention. I love everything about this track. I think it's got such a nice feel to it, and it just generally impresses me. This is an impressive track, and it proves that The Blams are worthy of a place on your playlists. This is such a great track, and the whole vibe of it is just a massive yes from me. I think this is great! I love this track, and I cannot recommend it enough. I think this is such an incredible track, and I'd highly recommend checking it out. It's great. Overall, I'd give this track a solid 5 out of 5 lemons! I love this! Where To Find The Blams:Spotify

The last release I want to talk about isn't really a recent release, but I was sent this as a submission, and because of my few days off, I've gained a bit of a backlog, so I'm trying to get as many reviews done as I can, so let's talk about Alabaster The Wicked's EP False Negatives. The EP opens with God's Favourite Son. This track has a bit of a Modern Baseball feel to it. I like this track, and I think it's a solid opening track. It has that tempo change that you would expect with a song that starts quite slow and soft, but it does get better, so because of that, I love this track. I think this is an incredible track, and it's really impressive. I love it. The second track, Freedom, was just as great as the previous track. This has the same sort of feel to it, but with some highly relatable lyrics that really hit home currently. This is another track that I'm pretty impressed with, there are some tempo changes in the track, and I just generally like this track. It's decent. The next track is Caught In A Loop, and this again sounds really good. It's got a similar feel as the previous two tracks, but a little bit different. I like this track, and all three tracks seem to be following the same structure, so I guess, my criticism currently is that 3 similar tracks could make them all seem to merge into one. I do like the track however, I think it's decent and I really like the vocals that accompany all of these tracks. It's another decent track, but I want a bit of change, a bit of something else. Up next comes Art, and this track has a spoken intro, however, it's like a minute and a half long. I love spoken intros, but it's quite long, and because of the intro, the track is over 5 minutes long so I feel this is a track that makes me lose interest quite quickly. I like it, but I do find myself losing interest in it. It's decent, but for a track that's 5 minutes long, it needs something spectacular to hold my attention, and this song doesn't have that. By the point, anything happens, I've lost interest. So, that is a big criticism. Second to last is, Silver and Gold. I like this track. This track is half the length of the previous track, and it has something that holds my attention. It has an interesting feel and vibe to it. I like it. It's decent. It's quite cool and funky. This is definitely a more impactful song than the previous track. The last track is, Apollo, which again is half the length of Art. This track, however,  doesn't seem to pack as much of a punch as some of the other tracks on the EP, and as a closing track, I want it to be incredible. I've spoken many times about how I believe an EP or album should have a solid opening and closing track so that when I think of that EP or album I'm left thinking about how great it is. It's an alright track but it's not revolutionary. Therefore, I'm going to give the EP a 4 out of 5 lemons. There are some incredible tracks on the EP, but Art and Apollo let it down in my opinion, but that is a personal preference. So, because of Art and Apollo, I'm going with a 4. I still rate the EP, and I'd still recommend it, but some tracks just didn't hold my attention.
