Ahh! I'm back! Today we're talking Recent Releases again! I do need to do a part 2 to this post where I talk about Ollie Hayes and maybe a couple of others, but today I just want to talk about new singles. We're going to be talking about new tracks from The Headspace, Prime and Autumn Fires. I've been away for a few weeks because I've just been so ill recently. I've had tonsillitis, then I badly injured my ankle, and I've just not been vibing with life lately. But I'm back! Part 2 of this will be coming soon!

First up, let's talk about Autumn Fires, they dropped their debut EP a few weeks back, and I love Autumn Fires. I think they're a phenomenal band and one that have so much potential to achieve great things. However, part of me was a little lacklustre with the EP because every track besides 1 was something we'd already heard. There was only 1 new track on the EP, which I mean, thankfully, it was a new track, but it was released as a single and part of the EP at the same time, so I have mixed feelings regarding that. I feel like I've said before that if an EP is going to be 5-8 tracks, then I want to know there are at least 2 previously unreleased tracks. Whilst I absolutely adore the tracks, and this EP could be in the running for EP of the year (full-year lemon awards to come within the next couple of weeks), I just wished there was more than one unreleased track. But let's talk about the new track! The track is Small Talk. This is quite a fast-paced track that ends the EP perfectly. It's a punchy track and one of the strongest tracks we've heard from Autumn Fires to date. I absolutely love it; I really can't fault it. It's got a nostalgic pop-punk feel; it's fast-paced and refined. It's great to hear how far Autumn Fires have progressed, and they're just getting better and better with their releases. I think this is a phenomenal track, and I'm absolutely in love with it. I've listed to it a fair bit since it was released, and lyrically, this may be my favourite track off the EP. It's sassy, and it's here to impress the masses whilst also having the "I don't give a fuck what you think" attitude to the track. So, besides the fact there's only one new track on the EP, both Small Talk and the EP itself, Promises You Can't Keep are getting a solid 5 out of 5 lemons from me. I'm 100% here for it! Where To Find Autumn Fires; SpotifyInstagramTwitterFacebookApple Music

Now, let's talk about Prime before moving on to The Headspace. Prime dropped another track titled, Sorry. Now, this track, I feel, is quite a typical prime track. It's got blues and folk elements on the track, which are one of my least favourite genres, but I still feel like this track is a classic Prime track, and I actually think it's one of my favourite tracks they've released. That does shock me because folk and blues elements in tracks usually make me automatically want to switch off, but I think the way this track has been done is quite enjoyable, and I do really rate this track! It's engaging enough to listen to that I don't find it boring, and I've got to admit, I just vibe with the whole track. It's got a more chilled out feeling to it in comparison to a lot of the other music I listen to and review, so I'm pretty impressed with this track. It's definitely one of my favourite tracks to come from Prime, and when it comes to my lemon rankings for it, then I've got to go with a solid 4 out of 5 lemons. I really enjoy this track, and I get why a lot of people are enjoying this track.

Now, let's move on to The Headspace. These guys are some of Notts finest. Since I've been away, they've released 2 tracks, and we're going to talk about them both. I last spoke about The Headspace when they released Evergreen, and since then, I've found a whole new level of love for them. The first of the 2 singles is Smiles; now, this track is their classic sound but with some added pizazz. I absolutely adore this track, honestly. It's beautiful. I could listen to this for hours on repeat and not be bored. The vocals are better than ever, and the whole vibe of the track is just insane. Some nice little tempo changes to keep you engaged, and it's just such a surreal track. I absolutely love it. This is a superb track and one that I know will be a strong contender for song of the year. This is just such a surreal track. It's truly extraordinary, and I'm in love with it. This is just magnificent. I love it so much! The Headspace are such a surreal band, and this track is proof of that. This track has instantly won me over, and I'm well and truly in love with it!

The second track from The Headspace is Last Year Feels Like Yesterday, this is another classic track from The Headspace, but it's got a different feel to it compared to Smiles, but I still love it so much! I think it's incredible. It's got the same engaging feel to it that Smiles had, and I don't think I could pick a favourite from the 2 of them, they're both incredible tracks, but they both offer a different listening experience and they're different songs. They're both classic tracks from The Headspace, but they are different. I'd say this one is a bit more pop-orientated compared to the previous track, Last Year Feels Like Yesterday is more comparable to Solie whereas Smiles was more comparable to Evergreen. They're both surreal tracks though, and they're both strong contenders for track of the year. I love this track, just as much as I loved Smiles. They're both surreal, and that's why I'm giving them both a solid 5 out of 5 lemons. They've both got surreal vocals, and they've both got that classic The Headspace feel to them. They're both incredible, and they're both engaging and I cannot recommend these tracks enough! They're surreal!
