Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Now, I know there's not long been a post with the same title as this one, but for context, last week Clay J Gladstone released their EP, Dead Friends which does feature the previously featured single Dead Friends. However, we are talking about the EP today. I think everyone at this point knows I love Clay J Gladstone and they just never disappoint me. So, of course, I'm super stoked to be doing this post! Before we dive right into this, I will say what I say in every album and EP review. Some of these tracks were released as singles, and I reviewed the singles, therefore, I won't be saying as much about the previously released tracks off the EP, as I will be about the ones which haven't been released before. This EP opens with the title track, Dead Friends. I loved this track. I still love it now. I'm still obsessed with it! I think this track is truly magnificent. This track has everything I could want on it, and more. I love the whole vibe and feel of this track, and I have had this track on heavy rotation since it was released. This is just such an impressive track that really does pack a punch, and it's just insane. If you've somehow not heard it before, you're missing out, because this is just such an incredible track. Balance is the second track on the EP, and also the second previously released track. Now, I did a full review of this track, and I said then that it wasn't my favourite thing that Clay J Gladstone has done. It's good, I like it more now than I did then, but it's still not my favourite track, it doesn't measure up to Dead Friends, but I can see the appeal with it, and I do much prefer it now than I did when I first heard it. I loThe third track on the EP is Move On. I love the feel of this track, I think this has such a cool vibe to it, and it's just so enjoyable to listen to it. I love the lyrics, they really do pack a punch. In all honesty, I love everything about this track, there's nothing I could fault about it. I think this is such an incredible track, and I'd put it up there with Dead Friends and Sorry as best Clay J Gladstone track. This is honestly just such a cool feeling track, and it's just incredible. This is one of those tracks that has everything you could want and more, it really does pack a punch, and I think this is such a stand out track on the EP. I'm well and truly obsessed with this track. I can't actually process nor put into words just how much I love this track. This is one of those tracks that gives me that euphoric feeling, and it's just incredible. The fourth track is High School Drama (Violence). This is another really impressive track, I do prefer Dead Friends and Move On over this, but I still love this track. I love the feel of it, I think it's got such a great feel to it and it's like a love child between Dead Friends and Move On. I love this track, it's so intense and angsty, I just love it. I cannot fault anything about this track, it's incredible. Another solid track, that I cannot wait to be blasting on full blast in my car with the windows down. It's just such an anthem. This track is everything you could want from a track, and it's just incredible. I love everything about this track, and this is a track that deserves a lot more love and hype than it's getting. Penultimate track and we have another previous single, this time it comes in the form of People Like You. I did a full review of this track too, and I love it. I still love it now. It's such an incredible track, and it's just got a great feel and vibe to it. It's not my favourite off the EP, but I still love it. The chorus goes so hard, and the tempo change between verse and chorus again is superb. Honestly, love this track. The last track on the EP is Kinda Ugly. The whole feel and vibe of this track is incredible. This reminds me of early Simple Plan. I love this track, this has such a cool feel and vibe to it. This truly is a magnificent track, and the fact the EP has opened and closed with 2 of the most solid tracks in existence is a big yes from me. I've said many times how essential that is for me, and honestly, I just love this track. I cannot fault anything about it. Honestly, would highly recommend checking this track out. This is everything. I love every single second of this track, and it's just phenomenal. I think this is such an incredible track and one that definitely deserves a lot more hype than it seems to be getting. Honestly, cannot recommend this track enough! I'm blown away by it. After 5 decent tracks, you think the last one is going to be a dud but this is Clay J Gladstone and they had to give us 6 tracks of bops. I love it. I think it's easy to guess that I love this EP. I think this is a masterpiece of an EP. This is so impressive honestly. Clay J Gladstone has done such a surreal job on this EP. I'm obsessed with this EP, and I intend to play this on repeat for weeks. I love every track on this EP, with Dead Friends, Move On and Kinda Ugly being my staple tracks, but I love them all. Honestly, cannot recommend checking this EP out enough if you haven't already. I'd have to give this EP a solid 5 out of 5 lemons. It's insane how good it is! Honestly, go check it out if you haven't already! Where To Find Clay J Gladstone; SpotifyInstagramFacebookYouTubeApple Music Where To Find Me: Here on LifeIsALemon more days than not, at 7pm (UK Time) TwitterInstagramFacebookMy Novel Small Band Appreciation Playlist (Spotify)For all blog related enquires contact me at myvoicebrandnew@hotmail.com
