Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we're talking about another new artist! Today we're talking about Duke Silverhand, which I mean it's great that we're talking about a new artist, but it's even better than I'm returning to my roots, and talking about a Notts band! I know, shocking, honestly. So, Duke Silverhand are a 4 piece alt-rock band from Notts. I love Notts bands and I love alt-rock, so really, I can't go wrong here. Anyway, Duke Silverhand reached out to me a few weeks back and asked if I'd be up for doing a post, and I mean, Notts, alt-rock, you just know I couldn't resist this. Coffee and Co-codamol is the debut single from Duke Silverhand, and I mean the title itself is a big mood. This track has seen the light of day before, but not with Duke Silverhand. Anyway, I do quite like the feel and sound of the track, I'm not saying it's my favourite thing in the entire world, but I do quite like it. It's a bit different to a lot of the other alt-rock bands out there, and some of the other alt-rock bands we've featured on here. But, this is a decent track. It's good. I like it. I think the vocals are a stand out feature of the track for me, and I know you always pay a lot of attention to the vocals of a track, but the vocals on this track are incredible. I really love the feel of this track, and it's generally just a good track. I really like it. It's not my favourite thing I've heard, and I think it's got a sound that is comparable to the band that this song originally came from, and I mean that makes sense when it was previously their song, and Duke Silverhand has 2 previous members of that band. It's an alright track. It's not bad, I like it, it's good, I'm not in love with it, because I just want a bit more from the sound. I'm quite fussy with music, because, I can be. I've come to know so many small bands, that I know what I want in a track, and this track doesn't have the major tempo changes, and it's quite similar from start to finish. There's not much change within the sound. I like it, and I could listen to it for a while without getting bored, but I want a bit more from the sound. As always, this is a personal opinion, and a lot of people will really like this track. I think as a debut single, it's decent. I would be interested to hear what comes next for Duke Silverhand, but for me, there needs to be a bit more pizazz to the track Overall, I think I'm going to give Coffee and Co-codamol a 4 out of 5 lemons, I was going to say a 3.5 but it's alright. I don't dislike it, and if I think about other tracks I've given a 3.5 to, it's better than them, but I still want more from the track.
