Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we're going to be talking about the new album from Slackrr. I'm a little bit late to the review, but we're here and we're doing it! So let's cut the rambling and get into talk about A Place That Feels Like Home by Slackrr.

The album opens with Home, and it's insane. The energy is insane, Slackrr pack a punch with their music, and this track is a perfect example of that, it's got a great energy to it, it holds your attention, and to say this track is nearly 4 minutes long, it doesn't feel like it, so that's always good, I love the intensity of this track too. It's not heavy, it's just fast-paced, and has a good feel to it, which is what we want from an opening track of an album. I really love this track, and it's a strong opening track.

The second track comes in the form of Playing With Fire, which is truly something else. I love this track, it's phenomenal, and it's one I cannot recommend enough. I love this track, and I fell in love with it more when I heard it live, it's just such a surreal track, and one that you need to play on full blast because it's an anthem. Truly something else. If you haven't heard this track yet, then play it on full blast and learn the beauty of this track. It's intense, it's got a great beat to it, and it's another song that doesn't feel as long as it is. Honestly, this is up there with my favourite tracks from Slackrr. Truly extraordinary!

Next up comes Waves, which I did a full review of last year upon its release, and I still love it now, and I can say that I love it even more now than I did then. It's a great track and one that really packs a punch. If you haven't heard it before, then go and check it out. Lyrically, this just hits the spot for me. I think this track is insane, and whilst it isn't as intense as the previous tracks, it's still impactful, and it's still fantastic. I loved it when it was released, and I still love it now.

Now comes, Reflections. This track sees the return of the intense, fast-paced feeling tracks, and I love it. It's a great track that really packs a punch. I love the feel of it, and I love the lyrics to it. This is one of the standout tracks for me, this is a track that I'd play on full blast and have a good scream in the car to. It's insane, truly something else, I love it. Cannot recommend it enough, and this would have to make it into my top 3 off this album. It's just insane.

Track five comes in the form of We Are. This is such an insane track, and one that really packs a punch. It's a wonderful track, and I thought that when it was first released, and I still think that now. The guitar in this track is something else, that's the stand out element of the track for me. I love everything about this track, and it's just insane. If you haven't heard it already, you need to change that, because this track is phenomenal.

The halfway point of the album comes in the form of Forgive Me. This track is another great one with a sort of My Chemical Romance feel to it, and I love that about it! I love this track so much, and I think it's wonderful. A bit of a change of listening experience compared to the other track but it's great, and I like that there's that change in the album. I've said many times in album reviews that I don't want to be hearing the same song on repeat for 30-50 minutes, I want to be able to tell the difference between tracks, and this is one of those different tracks but it's still just as incredible as the other tracks.

Moving on we have, The Current, which was another single from the album, and I love this track, it's got a great feel to it, and I love every second of this track. This is another one of my favourite tracks from Slackrr, and if you've heard it, you'll get why, because it's just everything you could want and more. It's great, it packs a punch, and it's phenomenal!

Track Eight is At The Beginning of the End We'll Start Again, which the intro was definitely a telltale sign that this would be a track to shake up the album again, and prove that all 11 songs are different. This track offers a slower, less intense listening experience. It's not an acoustic track or anything, but it's definitely more chilled out. Still a great track though.

Now we're onto the final three, and we have Patience. This is the complete opposite of the previous track, and I love that, because that's the sort of thing I like to see, that's the sort of thing that I believe keeps people engaged in an album, and this is a great track, just like the rest of the tracks, but this has some nice tempo changes in it, and I really like it. I like it more than I expected myself to, and it's just great.

The penultimate track is Remember When, this is another classic, fast-paced, intense track, and it's great. This is another track with an anthemic feel to it, and it's truly just great, this hits the spot, and it's just got such an incredible feel to it and it definitely hits the spot. It's another great track, and I really like it.

The final track is another punchy track, in the form of, Right Here. This isn't as intense as some of the other tracks we've heard, but it's still a solid track, it's not slow in the slightest, and it's not a soft track, so I'm definitely here for the fact that the album starts and ends on a great track with some good energy to it, and I always state that that's one of the most important things when it comes to albums. I love the feel of this track, and it's just another classic Slackrr track.

In conclusion, I really like this album. I like it more than I anticipated I would, and it's got a great feel to it, and whilst it's got a lot of fast-paced, intense tracks, it's got a couple of songs that throw a bit of change into the album. Every track is solid, and I'm just a big fan of this album, it packs a punch, and it does everything you could want it to do and more, so I'm here for it. I love this. This is a solid 5 out of 5 lemons album, and if you haven't heard it already, I cannot recommend you go and check it out enough!
